1. Legal Warranty
All products sold by Alfaiate D’Interiores benefit from the legal warranty of conformity provided for in Decree-Law No. 84/2021, of October 18, which guarantees the consumer 3 (three) years of warranty from the date of delivery of the goods. During this period, Alfaiate D’Interiores commits to repair, replace, or refund products that have manufacturing or conformity defects, at no additional cost to the consumer.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, poor maintenance, or improper cleaning;
- Changes made by the user (e.g., cuts, painting, gluing, drilling, improper disassembly);
- Natural wear of materials (e.g., fabrics, foams, varnishes, hardware);
- Damage caused by moisture, direct sunlight exposure, excessive heat, or use in unsuitable environmental conditions;
- Products subjected to intensive use (e.g., professional or 'contract' use) outside the manufacturer's specifications.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To claim the warranty, the customer must contact Customer Support through:

Proof of purchase must be presented and, whenever possible, photographs of the detected defect. Alfaiate D’Interiores will assess the case and inform the customer about the appropriate procedure (collection, repair, or replacement).
2. Usage and Maintenance Recommendations
The products from Alfaiate D’Interiores are designed for domestic and/or professional use (“contract”), and should be treated with care to ensure their durability and appearance over time. By following the recommendations below, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your furniture.
Avoid:
- Placing hot objects directly on surfaces (always use coasters or placemats).
- Leaving liquids or food spilled on upholstery or wood for long periods.
- Stacking or dropping chairs and other wooden furniture.
- Hitting or dragging furniture — lift and transport carefully.
- Using waxes, sprays, or silicone products, as they can damage the finish.
- Exposing furniture to direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive humidity.
General Cleaning:
- Use a soft, slightly damp cloth (never soaked).
- Dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive products, solvents, alcohol, bleach, or strong detergents.
- Regularly dust, following the natural grain of the wood.
- Avoid using dusters — they can spread dust and scratch the finish.
3. Specific Care for Wood
Wood is a natural material that breathes and reacts to light, humidity, and temperature. Each piece is unique, with small variations in tone and texture. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight — UV rays can alter the color and cause cracks. Maintain the environment with humidity between 40% and 60%. Keep furniture away from radiators, air conditioning units, and fireplaces. Periodically change the position of decorative objects (clocks, lamps, vases) to avoid color differences. Use felt protectors on the feet of chairs and tables to prevent scratches on the floor. For oiled woods (like teak), periodically apply teak oil and lightly sand with fine sandpaper (400 grit) to keep the surface nourished and protected.
4. Upholstery Care
- Regularly vacuum with a soft brush.
- Clean stains immediately, without scrubbing.
- Use neutral products suitable for the type of fabric.
- Avoid direct sunlight, as it causes discoloration and premature aging.
- For fabrics with stain-resistant treatment, always follow the manufacturer's specific instructions.
5. Glass, Stone, and Metal Products
Glass: clean with a soft cloth and appropriate product, avoiding scratches.
Granite and marble: clean with a damp cloth and neutral detergent; avoid acidic or abrasive products.
Metals and hardware: clean with a dry cloth and avoid exposure to moisture.
6. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for the proper use, maintenance, and cleaning of the products, according to the recommendations above. Failure to observe these guidelines may result in the cancellation of the warranty.
7. After-Sales Support
The Interior Tailor offers after-sales support services, with technical assistance and replacement parts, whenever possible, to extend the durability of the products.
