General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Identification

The Alfaiate D’Interiores online store is operated by ALFAIATE D'INTERIORES - MOBILIÁRIO, UNIPESSOAL, LDA, with registered office at Rua Veloso Salgado, Nº 974, 4450-801 Leça da Palmeira, Portugal, VAT number 510850774, hereinafter referred to as “Alfaiate D’Interiores.”

The use of this website and the placing of orders implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. Alfaiate D’Interiores reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. The terms applicable to each order are those in force at the time of order confirmation.



2. Products

The products offered include home décor, textiles, and furniture, including custom-made and made-to-measure pieces.

Furniture and customised products are manufactured specifically for each client after payment confirmation. These items are not kept in stock.

Due to the handcrafted and personalised nature of our products, slight variations in colour, texture, or finish may occur and do not constitute defects.



3. Prices and Payment

All prices are presented in euros (€) and include VAT at the legal rate in force.

Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout and may include bank card, Multibanco reference, bank transfer, or other electronic payment methods.

Production of made-to-measure items will only begin after payment has been confirmed.



4. Shipping and Delivery

  • Portugal Continental: between 6 to 8 weeks, after confirmation email.
  • Islands: additional transport time will apply

Shipping costs are calculated and presented before completing the order and vary depending on volume, weight, and delivery location.

Delivery will be made to the address provided by the customer.

The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate access conditions for delivery, including doorways, staircases, and elevators.

Any additional costs resulting from access difficulties or failed deliveries will be the responsibility of the customer.



5. Delivery and Assembly

Where applicable, delivery and assembly services will be carried out by Alfaiate D’Interiores or specialised partners.

Specific conditions, including costs and availability, will be communicated prior to order completion.



6. Right of Free Resolution

In accordance with applicable legislation, customers have the right to return non-customised products within 14 days of delivery.

Custom-made or personalised products cannot be returned, except in cases of manufacturing defects.



7. Return Conditions

To be eligible for return:

  • The request must be submitted in writing to the customer support email (geral@alfaiatedinteriores.pt);
  • The product must be in perfect condition;
  • Where applicable, the original packaging must be included.
  • We do not accept returns of custom-made products.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of defect or error attributable to Alfaiate D’Interiores.



8. Refunds

After receiving and inspecting the returned product, the refund will be processed using the original payment method or by bank transfer.

Alfaiate D’Interiores reserves the right to withhold the refund until the returned product has been received and verified.



9. Damaged Products

If the product has been damaged during transport, the customer must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery, including photographs and a description of the damage.



10. Warranty

All products are covered by the legally applicable warranty against manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Improper use
  • Damage caused by incorrect use
  • Damage occurring after delivery



11. Responsibility

Alfaiate D’Interiores shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including transport disruptions, natural events, or force majeure situations.



12. Data Protection

Personal data provided will be used exclusively for order processing and customer communication, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

 

13. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law.

In the event of a dispute, customers may resort to legally established alternative consumer dispute resolution entities.

 

14. Where to Buy

Alfaiate D’Interiores is a Portuguese interior décor and furniture brand, with handcrafted production. Each piece is carefully made by experienced professionals, ensuring quality and attention to detail.

We operate in Portugal and serve international clients. In Portugal, we have an online store and physical showrooms.

15. Buying Online

Customers can place orders in two ways:

  • Direct purchase: Add products to your cart and complete checkout online.
  • Assisted purchase: Our team supports you throughout the entire process, particularly for customised or made-to-measure products.

We offer a wide range of finishes and fabrics that may not all be displayed on the website.
